OPERATORS IN the Midlands are being urged to sign up to a scheme to tackle truck crime in the region which launched last week.
The Midlands Truck Watch has been created by West Midlands Business Council (WMBC) together with Staffordshire Police, West Mercia Constabulary and West Midlands Police. WMBC executive director James Watkins says the service has been created because of the high number of truck thefts in the Midlands.
Operators that sign up can receive information about stolen vehicles and loads via e-mail, text, phone or fax.
