• Mr David Bush—the ex MoT court clerk—was again remanded on bail at Acton magistrates' court last week on charges of conspiring to make false statements and forgery for the purposes of obtaining a grant of carriers' licences under the Road Traffic Act, 1960 (CM April 17, 24 and June 5).

It is now known that Mr Paul Clark, Paul Clark (Transport Consultants) Ltd, Mr Keith Alan, King, Garmete Transport Ltd, Mr John William Montier and Mr Trevor Chalmers have been charged with that between May 1968 and August 1969 they did conspire to effect a public mischief, namely to obtain the grant of licences under part IV of the Road Traffic Act, 1960 for Keith Alan King, Garmere Transport Ltd, D. Norris, John William Montier, Trevor Chalmers, A. Hissett and others without regard to the interests to the public generally or otherwise in accordance with the Road Traffic Act, 1960 Section 174 (4).

Paul Clark, and Paul Clark (Transport Consultants) Ltd, are further charged with that with Keith King and others unknown they did conspire to forge documents for the purpose of obtaining the grant of licences under part IV of the Road Traffic Act 1960 to Keith King and other persons (contrary to the Forgery Act 1913 Section 4). Contrary to Common Law.

Paul Clark, Paul Clark (Transport Consultants) Ltd, Keith Alan King and Garrnere Transport Ltd, are also charged with that between May 1968 and August 1969 they did conspire with Paul Clark, and Paul Clark (Transport Consultants) Ltd, and Keith King and with others unknown knowingly to make false statements with the purpose of obtaining the grant of licences under part IV of the Road Traffic Act 1960 to Keith King and other persons (contrary to the Road Traffic Act 1960 Section 235). Contrary to Common Law.
