Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AS A regular reader of Commercial Motor I was greatly interested in "Echoes of Unity Down at the Arabian Wells'' (CM, June 14, p34).

Although covering a lot of detail, one small item was omitted. How did the vehicles arrive in Northern Ireland? I should now like to complete the story just for the record.

The fact is, I drove these chassis cabs from the Berliet factory at Bourg-en-Bresse to the Camco Plant at Newtownabbey, a distance of almost 800 miles by road.

I left Belfast on Thursday morning, flying to London Heathrow and then on to Lyon, from there to Bourg-en-Bresse which is about 50km from Lyon. Having checked that the vehicle documents were in order, I left Bourg early on Friday morning. I joined the Autoroute at Chalon-sur-Saone and headed north up through Paris and spent Friday night in Roye, in the Somme Valley.

On Saturday morning I headed to Bolougne, crossing to Dover, and after arranging Customs clearance spent Saturday night at Barham.

Early on Sunday morning I headed for Liverpool, crossing to Belfast on the Sunday night boat, arriving Monday morning.

Keep up the good work at CM as it is a must for all those engaged in the haulage industry. H. MASON Co Antrim, Northern Ireland
