• When Bullens recently moved around 15,000 different part numbers for a Southampton firm, it removed the stores from their conventional storage system to two Linpic carousels.
Consequently, at all times during the 14-day operation any of the parts — they actual ly belong to a cigarette machine maker — could be located, and the system could be used by other industries with relocation problems.
The carousels' manufacturer, Linvar, claims that Linpic is Britain's first fully automatic storage system.
