'United Biscuits has appointed Bob Selkirk as managing director of' its new distribution company, UB Distribution Services.
Mr Selkirk was previously distribution director of United Biscuits before the separate distribution company was formed.
Alan West, formerly distribution director of RHM Foods, has joined UB Distribution Services as distribution commercial director.
Dart Containerline has a new northern sales manager. He is Alan Henry, previously freight manager with HeadDonaldson Line. Mr Henry, who is a 'member of the Institute of Export, is based in Liverpool.
Keith Gregory has joined Windsorian Coaches and its tour operating subsidiary, Astral Holidays, as assistant operations manager. Mr Gregory was previously employed by Conoco at its head office in Blackfriars, London, in the planning and analysis department.
London Transport has named two new principal purchasing assistants in its supplies department. They are Paul Berlin and Tony Poplett, both of whom were already with London Transport. Mr Bertin is responsible for the purchase of fuel and certain other bought-in services and the sale of obsolete vehicles and equipment. Mr Poplett is responsible for the purchasing of engineering, electrical and non-engineering equipment and materials.
Richard Truelove has been appointed to the board of TI Transport Equipment as marketing director.
He joined the company in 1974, and before accepting this new position was head of a department dealing with international sales. Mr Truelove is based at the company's headquarters in Daventry.
Roadways Hire has reported the appointment of a new board member. He is Richard James, who joined the company in 1977 from Forward Trust.
Robert Cranfield has become the technical manager for retreads of Retreading Equipment, in Alton, Hampshire. He brings with him 14 years' experience with Firestone in New Zealand. Mr Cranfield's responsibilities include quality standards, technical liaison and training programmes for the company's 60 concessionaires in the UK.
Westonian Commercials has announced a new board member. He is Colin Marshall, who has been with the company four years as accountant.
Telford Motors also has a new board member. Ron Counsell takes his seat on the board having been with the company since its acquisitic from Ross Garages.
Albert Lighton is the ne sales director of Zenith Carl uretters. Mr Lighton WE previously sales director of ti Lucas subsidiary Leslie Ha tridge.
