THE East Midlands LA, Mr. C. M. Sheridan, is seeking the approval of the Minister of Transport to appeal against certain of a magistrate's decisions at Oxford County Court last rrronth.
The LA, through the enforcement section, had brought a number of charges against two East Midland operators which were dismissed.
G. R. Nixey (Contractors) Ltd. it was alleged, had operated a C-licensed vehicle for hire or reward and had failed to maintain proper drivers' records. Mrs. L. M. E. Hanks was charged with carrying goods not specified on a carrier's licence.
The magistrate ordered the Ministry of Transport to pay £175 costs.
