rHE application by The Western Welsh Omnibus Co. Ltd., for a fares increase, ported in COMMERCIAL MOTOR on Lugust 12, was unsuccessful. The South Vales Traffic Commissioners said that in iew of the Government's economic squeeze, rise in fares at this time would not be in the ,ublic interest.
At the hearing Western Welsh stated that le company might require to reduce its ervices if the application were refused. 'here were 25 local authorities objecting to he application.
