WHEN the Austin and Morris "underIN floor "-engined 5-, 7and 8-ton chassis were announced last month, no prices were available for the FH K160 8-tonners, deliveries of which are expected to commence in June. Prices of the 13-ft. 4-in,-wheelbase model have been fixed as follows: chassis-scuttle, £1,572; chassis-front end, £1,626; chassiscab, £1,670; platform lorry, £1,796 10s.; and drop-side lorry, £1,811. The 15-ft.

wheelbase model costs £6 more, but this chassis size is not offered with B.M.C.built bodies.

These prices include various items of equipment which are standard on all home-market 8-tonners, such as Eaton 16802 two-speed axle, five-speed gearbox, power-assisted steering, Air Pak airpressure brake servo, 5 kW cab heating and demisting equipment, windscreen washers and 9.00-20 (14-ply) tyres.
