Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A THREAT OF industrial action over pay is looming at three more Tesco distribution centres following walkouts by drivers at a depot in Lincolnshire.

Pay talks for hundreds of drivers and warehouse staff at two depots in Middleton in Greater Manchester and one in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, have been dragging on since April. Win canton, which runs the three sites, is understood to have offered a 3.8% increase over 18 months but the Transport & General Workers Union is holding out for a I2-month deal.

The involvement of the conciliation service ACAS has apparently failed to break the deadlock. Following another meeting with the company on 19 September, the T&G's national food and agricultural organiser Brian Revell described the situation as "delicate".

On Wednesday (24 September), the T&G was due to meet Christian Salvesen in a bid to resolve a dispute at the multi-user cold storage depot in Easton, Lincolnshire, which also supplies Tesco (CM4 September).

Geoff Espin, T&G regional organiser, said beforehand that no further walkouts were planned but an overtime ban was continuing.
