Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

the ings that really matter to drivers... e space to put your trousers on"

When Scania unveiled its futuristic eXc tractor last year it showed how easy it was to deliver the kind of living room HGV drivers desperately need and clearly deserve. Having extended the cab backwards by an extra 1.3m they've virtually doubled its internal space compared to a regular Scania Topline sleeper. Only problem is, if you couple it to a 13.6m trailer you end up with an attic that's 17.8m long. Doh!

Isn't it time we harmonised artic lengths to the same 18.75m maximum limit as drawbars -while retaining a 13.6m trailer dimension thereby allowing tractor manufacturers to box more cleverly?

If the trade unions and trade associations could only stop bleating about the Working Time Directive for just a moment they'd realise what would really keep Jack happy in his box...
