Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• A lorry driver has been described in court as a "hero" for trying to stop an armed gang escaping after they had robbed a security guard.

The Old Bailey was told that Raymond Joyner witnessed the attack on the security guard at the Top Rank Bingo Hall in Bedford in June 1995, and rammed the getaway car with his lorry, forcing the robbers to flee on foot.

Prosecutor Nigel Rumfitt QC described Joyner's actions as those of a "hero if ever there was one". Four defendants, Alvin Black, Karlton Campbell and Robert Skyers of Bedford and John Stewart of St Neots, are accused of conspiring to rob shops and businesses in Bedford between March 1995 and June 1996. They deny the charges.

Black is also accused of murdering 56-year-old Johana Czardebon in Bedford. He is alleged to have shot her in the face while attempting to get away from a robbery at Bedford County Hotel. He also denies this charge.
