Two side-mounted rams operate a pivoted bridging member to which the container is attached by chains. On the Show vehicle, the container takes the form of an 8-cu.-yd. refuse body which can be tipped to a nearvertical position. A larger type 600 unit will be on display in the Demonstration Park fitted to a Thames Trader chassis.

The remaining exhibit comprises a 10-cu.yd,, all-steel tipping body with an internal length of 13 ft., on a Thames chassis equipped with an Edbro 4 LNS front-of-body tipping gear. Special features of the body include a reinforced, rectangular, hollow-section top rail designed to give a high impact resistance.
