THE latest addition to the Hestair-Dennis range of bus chassis the Lancet (CM, October 11).
Available with a choice of proprietary engines and gearboxes, t Lancet is expected to be aimed at bus operators seeking a small mid-engined middle weight single-deck bus.
The chassis illustrated here is fitted with a Perkins T6.354.4 engi coupled to an Allison AT545 automatic gearbox, but it is also beii offered with a Leyland 402.
Hestair-Dennis are also known to be working on a new design three-axle double-deck bus to meet an expected demand for hig capacity 12m vehicles from Hong Kong.
