Chrysler UK Ltd, (Commer Division), London Road, Ryton-on-Dunsmore, Coventry, The Commer Walk-Thru KC series comprises four models, but only one, the KC25, scrapes in under our 31/2-ton limit. An automatic transmission, the Borg-Warner type 35, is available for the diesel version only £155.
The smaller light vans in the ChrysIE range, the 1500, 2000 and 2500 P models cover payloads of 762, 914 an 1118kg (15, 18 and 22cwt) respectivel' Engine options are a four-cylinder 1.7:' litre (105cu in) petrol unit, in high or Icy compression form, or the 1.75-litr (107cuin) Perkins diesel engine. The load space is 5.6cui (200cuft) or 5.9cum (210cuft) wit passenger seat removed, and standal van bodies are available with an exti side-loading door or sliding front doors required.
