Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NEWpremises housing British Road Services Ltd., B.R.S. (Parcels) Ltd. and B.R.S. (Contracts) Ltd., are to be opened on October 28 by Provost H. Alleync Nicholson at Kirkcaldy.

The new depot is on a two-acre site at Hayfield Place, Hayfield Industrial Estate, Kirkcaldy. It has cost £57,000 to build and will replace the existing general haulage branch at Victoria Road, Kirkcaldy, and the parcels branch at Methil.

The three companies share a common traffic shed which is 160 ft. long and 90 ft. wide, and there is a T-shaped loading bank providing an area of 6,500 sq ft. for the trans-shipment of traffic and the provision of warehousing and storage facilities.

The parcels company will operate daily collection and delivery services throughout the counties of Fife, Kinross and Clackmannan, and to the Perth, Sterling and Falkirk areas. Trunk services will operate between Kirkcaldy and Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee, connecting with services to all parts of England and Wales and to the north of Scotland.

United Carriers Take-over

'THE capital of Lanes Midlands Yorks i Carriers Ltd., a private company Operating a daily service in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, and a trunk service to Lancashire and Norfolk, has been acquired by United Carriers Ltd. Payment will be the sum of £10,000 and the allotment of 184,615 ordinary shares of 2s.

As reported in our issue of July 26 this year, two Northants haulage groups joined forces to form United Carriers.
