The Latest Doings and Developments in the Bus and Coach World.

A SMART-LOOKING all 'weather motor coach body has recently been completed in the works of the Motor and Accessories Co. 40, Waterford Road, London, S.N.6, which has mounted it on an LP model Garner chassis with a 14-ft. 6-in. wheelbase.

It is a 26-seater in which the seats are arranged transversely. A central gangway which is 1 ft. 1 in. wide, divides four pairs of seats, each built to take two passengers, behind which is a seat for four people in line with the rear door, from which it is separated by a gangway giving access to the seats in the front and the rear seat for five people, which extends across the full width of the body. The passenger seating complement is completed by a seat disposed alongside the driver.

The seats have spring backs, deep cushions and are trimmed in real grey leather baying a crocodile finish. They are sloped at an angle which ensures comfortable travel for the occupants, who are not cramped for space, as is indicated by the fact that the distance between the backs of each row of seats is 2 ft. 5 ins., except in the case of the front seat, the back of which is 3 ft. 9 ins, from the dashboard. The interior width of the body is 7 ft and its overall width 7 ft. 4 ins.

The body is equipped with the special type of fixed all-weather sides made by the Motor and Accessories Co., which consist of -es-in. plate-glass windows running in Beclawat channel, the operation of lowering and raising the lights being controlled by Dora patent winders. The hoop-sticks carrying the hood covering are arranged to slide along the cant rail and, when not required, can be pushed to the rear, falling over a curved member on to the back of the body.

The hood covering is Loose and is stored in an extension of the body on which the hoopstieks rest, the whole being protected by a hood envelope. The hood cover is stretched by means of screws passing through a member fixed to the top of the siereen, operating on a steel slat in the front end of the hood. When the hood is in position the head clearance inside the body is 5 ft.

Two doors are provided on the near Side for the use of passengers, that at r the rear having a drop light, whereas that at the front is provided with a

sliding window, as is the driver's door on the off side.

A Godin all-metal, sloping-back windocreen is fitted and it has two deflectors, corner lights and a sun visor. The lower part of the body is finished in white enamel and the upper in black. . The vehicle is shod with pneumatic tyres, twins being fitted on the rear wheels. The price of the body as described and illustrated is £550.
