THE national council of the Road Haulage Association has elected Mr. D. 0. Good as national chairman for the next 12 months. Mr. Good is managing director of Pioneer Haulage, Ltd., Beer. Devon. He holds, or has held, a number of other important offices in the Association. He has been a national vice-chairman for the past seven years and chairman of the Association's pevon and Cornwall Area for the past two years. He is also chairman of the Honiton SubArea and for the past two years has been chairman of the National Road Transport Federation.

Four national vice-chairmen elected laSt week are Mr. A. R. Butt (Morris Transport, Ltd., Sutton Coldfield), Mr. H. Bell (Bell and Co. (Transport), Ltd., Edinburgh), Mr. J. T. Three of the vice-chairmen were re-elected. The new vice-chairman, Mr. P. H. R. Turner, has just completed two years' term of office as chairman of ,the Association's• Metropolitan and South Eastern Area. He was chairman of the Central London Sub-Area from 1956 to 1958 and has served on the. National Council and the National Executive Committee since 1955. He represents A And B licence holders on the London ind Home counties Traffic Advisory l'ommittee.
