Special , engine, mountings. nd brackets have been produced for carrying the larger engine, but the original transmission units, which are standard in both the Bedford 4-ton and 7-ton chassis, are retained. It has also been necessary to modify the basic structure of the forward-control cab and to fit an appropriate radiator.

Built as a separate unit, the cab is mounted on rubber cushions, so that it is capable of considerable movement relative to the' body and can absorb shocks when traversing ion& drouild.
