DR. A. Y. HOLLAND, of the research laboratory of the King's Norton factory of the Triplex Safety Glass Co., Ltd., has been elected vice-president of the Society of Glass Technology.

MR. S. S. ROBSON has been re-elected chairman of the Northern area of the Traders' Road Transport Association. He and MR. S. G. GORRILL, MR. R. RYAN and MR. J. THWAITES were norMnated to the national council.
