wner-driver Albert Flaws thinks a professional gang stole his Foden eight-wheel coal tipper during the night of Sunday 7 March. The vehicle, reg H471 NBO, is fitted with a Jacobs brake, which Flaws says cost £1,700. It also has a Stevecastle aluminium tipping body and aluminium wheels. Chassis number is 403076 and its Caterpillar engine is 5KDO1855.

The cab is white with a nine inch red stripe around it. The vehicle was stolen from a locked depot at Gellideg Maesy Cwmmer, near Blackwood in South Wales.

AC2,000 reward is being offered for a Volvo FIO three-axled truck which was stolen from John Taylor Transport's depot in Ashford, Kent between 19:3020:10hrs on Tuesday 2 March.

The theft of the plain white liveried unit with a blue bumper and chassis, reg H865 BJA, leaves the family business with one truck. It is having to turn away business amounting to around £800 profit a week and fears that its future insurance premiums will soar. It says its insurance premiums went up by £8,000, after a 75-tonne GVW Volvo F12 was stolen 11 months ago.

The Volvo F10 can be identified by a white air streamer which has blue markings on the side and a blue fuel tank. Its chassis number is SCVH2CCC4LC891763.

A28-tonne Leyland Dal Roadtrain and its load of bathroom equipment were stolen from March ington Industrial Estate, near, Uttoxeter during the night of Sunday 7 March.

The unit, reg G535 AEH, was attached to a 12m white curtainsider and belonged to Qua!cast Bathrooms. Its engine number is 23526643 and chassis number is 1033360.

The trailer's DoE number is 9675067A and its chassis number is 197814711. Tractor unit and trailer have the Qualcast Bathrooms' livery.

etia Two Foden trucks and two sets of trade plates were stolen from a yard in Station Road, Sandbach, Cheshire. The Sandbach Truck Services vehicles were taken in the early hours of Saturday 13 March . The first vehicle is a red and white Foden 6x4 tractor unit, reg E727 OWT, chassis number 400278.The Foden 6x2 tractor unit has reg G901 NAV, chassis number 402 647.

The two trade plates taken were 141 TU and 271 LG.

Bilston-based Trailer Freight (Midlands) has laid off two drivers and has reluctantly decided to employ a nightwatchman, after three of its seven trucks have been stolen in the past two months.

A Scania 113, reg F908 CNG, was stolen from its locked yard on the Atlas Trading Estate on Thursday 4 February. The 38-tonner tri-axle's chassis number is 1147290 and engine number 3066233.

A 7.5-tonne Ford Cargo, reg E805 PFK, was stolen from outside a driver's house in Quarrybank on Thursday 18 February. Its chassis number is SBCCXXCCDCHU88859, engine number HU88859.

The third, a Scania 112 reg D759 00C, was stolen from Trailer Freight's premises on Tuesday 16 March. The 38-tonne tri axle's chassis number is 1119037 and its engine number is 5287477. All three trucks are painted in Trailer Freight white and red colours.

Managing director Jim Ross estimates the thefts will cost his company at least £15,000 in payments for renting replacement trucks and not getting paid in full for the true vehicle's worth from the insurance company. He says that the insurance company has offered to pay £28,000 for the F-reg Scania 113 which he says is actually worth about £31,000.

Ross had to make two of nine drivers redundant after the second vehicle was stolen and now plans to pay £400 a week for a nightwatchman and "an angry dog."

Ared Land Rover, belonging to John Gornall Transport in Spennymoor, County Durham, has been stolen from a car park near the main shopping centre in Darlington.The vehicle, reg E291 OX, was taken around midday on Saturday 13 March. Its chassis number is SAIL DVAB 7EA329644 and engine number 19J12920C.

ADAF six wheel tipper, has been stolen from Bower Hill Industrial Estate, Melksham, Wiltshire. The light blue tipper had the name A B Gerrish on the front and sides and was loaded with sand. It was stolen in the early hours of 15 March.

Its registration is J299 HHU, engine number K12628 and chassis number E349119.
