Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

PLYMOUTH-BASED KAY Transport has been bought by GDL (Holdings), parent company of Gregory Distribution, from co-owners Steve and Sheila Winzer for an undisclosed sum.

Kay Transport employs approximately 140 people at its base in Plymouth and depots in Newton Abbot, Devon. and Gloucester. In its most recent accounts filed with Companies House, the business achieved a turnover of £11.6m and a pre-tax profit of £205,225 for the 12 months ending 31 January 2008.

The company, which was founded in 1978 and is a member of the Palletways network, will continue to trade under the same name and in its familiar red livery.

In a statement, Steve Winzer (pictured left with John Gregory) says: "I see the sale to Gregory Distribution as a positive move for my business; being part of a larger organisation without losing its identity is good news for both customers and staff."

Winzer will stay as a consultant to the firm. Andy Walker, managing director of Gregory Distribution, tells CM: "The management team will stay in place and we will take it forward from there. Kay will work well alongside our existing business; it has a very good reputation in the South-West and we are strong in this part of the world."

He adds that while times are tough for the logistics industry he is -always on the look-out for opport unites" to add to the business.
