SHARP HAS replaced Christophe Blazere as MD of its wholly-owned dealer group Renault Truck Commercials.

Sharp joined Renault Trucks in 1996, working as a sales manager, used vehicle director and, most recently, as aftersales director, to name but three roles he has occupied. In his new role as MD he will manage a group that operates from 13 sites in the UK, and be responsible for managing and delivering profitable, sustainable growth.

"My vision is to drive a completely customer focused organisation, where every member of the team, from the technicians and service receptionists to the managers, sales people and drivers, is completely focused on delivering exceptional customer service at all times," he explains. "I am looking forward to working with a new team and to the challenges and opportunities that this role will bring."

The new role of commercial aftersales director is taken up by Ian Wrench. He'll have responsibility for developing strategy and management of all Renault Trucks' aftersales activity in the UK.

He joins from Pullman Fleet Services, which is part of the Wincanton Group, where he was general manager from 2007. Wrench previously worked for Renault Trucks in 2000, eventually becoming a national fleet account manager, and in 2004 for Renault Trucks Midlands as group service manager.

"As a very customer-focused person, I enjoy customer-facing roles and am looking forward to meeting our customers in the dealer network and ensuring we are meeting their needs," he said.

Christophe Blazere had been MD of Renault Truck Commercials since 2010 after arriving from head office in Lyon, France. He moves to SMT Europe, a Volvo importer for Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Penta & Volvo Trucks products, based in Brussels.
