TRANSPORT MINISTER Norman Fowler has been reported as saying that the British Industry is not at present well-placed to produce the equipment necessary for goods vehicles in excess of 32 tonnes.

While not qualified to speak for other manufacturers, ERF has not only developed a plan for the production of increased weight vehicles but has also produced units for the conveyance of indivisible loads with a gross weight of up to 100 tons and more.
