The Lightning, an automatic three-brush vehicle washer announced by Wickham Industrial Equipment, has hydraulically controlled side brushes which adjust separately to enable vehicles parked off-centre to be cleaned evenly. A commercial vehicle takes 2-5min according to size.

An electrically controlled top brush follows the contours of the vehicle being washed.

Brushes are made of long-life Pex monofilament divided into easily interchangeable 1ft sections.
