Of special importance, a low pressure drop is provided across the valves and it is claimed that when employed in coniunction with a Drum-Haar automatic venting device and overfilling equipment they enhance safety in the haulage of volatile liquids.
Standard valves are available in aluminium, stainless steel and nodular iron. The system is not affected by low-temperature conditions and eliminates the need for manual or pneumatic control.
