Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

and as my costs will not be covered I am trying to do things as cheaply as possible to minimize my loss, and would be grateful for your assistance concerning three points:

(1) My original idea was to have a van about 1-ton size but a local policeman thinks that this would not comply with the law, and that some form of seating would be necessary. I would be grateful if you could comment.

(2) I intend to obtain money from one body or another to pay for some of my costs in running the vehicle. This would almost certainly be on a rate per mile basis but it need not be stated in this way if other ways would be better. Would my present driving licence (ordinary car) be sufficient?

(3) What kind of licence would be required? Theordinary private one or some other form?

AThe answers to your questions are: (1) To comply with the law, the vehicle must have seats.

(2) If a contract is placed with the school, a private licence would be sufficient but if vehicle journeys are paid by individuals, i.e. a vehicle operating "on hire or for reward", then the vehicle must have a p.s.v. certificate and the driver a p.s.v. licence.

(3) A private licence is required if the vehicle is under contract.

The cheapest method is to obtain a contract and operate as a private vehicle, but no advertising of services is permissible.
