Bob Tuck's 17th book will be a joy to all road transport followers. The latest is a selection of classic lorries of yesteryear and super trucks of today, all of which can lay claim to have been king of the road in their own particular era.
Given specific historical coverage are Wagon and Drags, Heavy Haulage, Volvo FB8/89, Ford Trans Continental, Eight Wheelers, Guy Scammell Crusader, Mack, Atkinson Borderer, Leyland Marathon. The opening and closing montages of the book feature eight wheelers.
The book contains more than 250 photographs none of which are believed to have been published in book form before. Of particular interest is the colour section of 32 photographs which date from the mid 1950s up to 1999.
