The Editor, " THE COMMERCIAL MOTOR " Sir :—Taking into consideration the vigilance and attention required from steam-wagon drivers in the congested traffic of London and suburbs, 1, in common with drivers I know personally, consider that being fined for the tail-lamp being out is most unjust, as the lamp is in no way visible to them, if they pay strict attention to steering and driving. I consider that the remedy for this is that the guard usually to be found on trailers should be held liable or else that the light should be so affixed that it is easily visible to the driver.—Yours faithfully, Walthamstow, E.
