Low umn. ON M6 II Lancashire police are to impose an 801(mph (50mph) speed limit on sections of the M6 and the M61 on stretches of the road approaching and running alongside major roadworks.
The M6 and M61 junction area has been the scene of several horrific accidents during the past two years, especially on contraflow sections alongside major roadworks.
The Department of Transport says that closed circuit television will monitor the sections involved.
