• Davies magnet plans to double production of its doublejaw fifth-wheel couplings during the next 18 months, following a move to a new factory in Corby.
The Corby plant replaces manufacturing facilities in Hertfordshire and Leicestershire and creates more than 100 jobs.
FMW light industrial tractors and Harbilt battery electric trucks, bought by the DM group late last year, will also be assembled at the factory.
Managing director Frank Tinsdale says: "In the transfer of production, some backlog of orders for couplings has developed.
"Soon deliveries will be faster than ever. Machining is faster now it is computerised, and the range of fitments is being simplified."
