Once the cab is tilted, using the hydraulic jack on the rear offside of the cab, check the air lines that run to the front brake actuators. A further potential source of trouble is the flexible pipe that runs from the air compressor to the air tank. The slightest sign of damage, and this is replaced, as they have been known to suddenly blow when in use.

If the fan either turns freely, or not at all, the hub, which contains a viscous drive, must be changed. To remove the fan, first remove the fibreglass cowling.
