Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE ownership of the spare wheel of a bus was disputed by two claimants in an unusual lost-property case at Stirling Police Court, on Monday. Claimants for the wheel were Mr. Hector Sinclair, the finder, and Mr. Rankine, depot manager of the Scottish Motor Traction Co., Ltd.

The wheel was found and lodged with the police on June 27, as lost property. No claim reached the police up to February 2 of this year, and the wheel was signed over by the magistrates to the finder. Following this the S.M.T. laid claim to the wheel.

Quoting from the Burgh Police Act on lost property, the chief constable said that any article found and deposited with them, was awarded to the finder if not claimed within six months.

Judge Aitken, in awarding the wheel to the' finder, suggested that some arrangement might be come to between him and the S.M.T. with a view to the latter getting it back.
