Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• British Road Services Ltd. in preparing for the changeover to decimalization on February 15 next, has sent letters to all its customers setting out details of the method in which payment of accounts will be made.

For supplies and services payment will continue to be made in fsd amounts until the end of January. It is anticipated that all such cheques will then be cleared through the banks before the predecimalization closure period (February 11 and 12).

Subsequent payments will be made in fp by cheques dated on or after February 15 1971 and remittance advices for such payments will be in decimal currency. In cases where invoices are submitted in isd amounts with no decimal equivalents BRSL will convert the invoice total to fp using the whole pence conversion table.

A conversion table for amounts from one penny to one pound is included with every letter.
