• Al (M) Durham County Council has announced major resurfacing/overlay and bridge works on the Carrville to Blind Lane section for 12 weeks starting September. The Aycliffe slip roads (southbound on slip and northbound off slip) will be closed until 9 October.
• A19 The Peterlee to Hawthorn stretch will be subject to metre strip widening, lighting and bridge works for 12 weeks starting March 1995.
• At the same time, resurfacing work will start on the A66 Clint Bridge to Bowes overbridge westbound and the Greta Bridge east and westbound. The work will last for three weeks.
