Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• BRS Northern is extending its 23.5 million reefer rental scheme to a second, as yet unnamed, site. It plans to move into refrigerated trailer rental (it now only rents rigid reefers) and buy 20 new vehicles.

Sister BRS companies say they are keen to set up similar schemes, but will wait until they see how successful Northern's pilot venture is.

The company is keeping the site of the new depot under wraps until next month. In the meantime, it has added seven more vehicles to its rental pool at its existing site at Bolton.

BRS launched an experimental reefer rental scheme this Spring which, it said, would be extended

nationally if it was successful.

The original site at Bolton was established with 16 refrigerated trucks available for short or long-term rental and plans to grow the fleet to 70 reefers within two years.

BRS says there is a demand for reefers on rent from poultry, meat, and fruit producers forced by new regulations to keep their foodstuffs colder, longer.
