MERCEDES-BENZ dealer Midlands Truck & Van has appointed Mark Elden as its service manager in Birmingham.

MD Jon Divers said Elden has a proven track record within the industry of driving the core values of customer service and workshop growth. "We all look forward to his motivation and enthusiasm helping drive the Birmingham branch in the coming months," he said. Elden has been in the industry for 25 years, starting out with Scania as an apprentice and working his way up to depot manager. After a spell with construction group Galliford Try he joined Ballyvesey-owned Mercedes-Benz dealer InterCounty Truck & Van and

spent his last three and half years there as depot manager at the Wellingborough head office, before moving to its sister company Midlands. Elden said: "I plan to use my 18 years of managerial experience

within the industry to offer support to the team and drive the business forward, focusing on existing customer retention, and expanding our labour sales further by attracting new customers into our business."
