Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

and therefore my renewed licence will commence from February 1, 1970. Could you tell me whether this means that! will get a licence qualifying me to drive vehicles of the usual groups for the next three years without getting an hg. v. driver's licence?

AYour new licence will enable you to drive

vehicles of the same groups as before until January 31, 1973. After that date you will need an h.g.v. driver's licence which you must obtain either by passing the test before January 31, 1973 or by claiming exemption on the grounds of previous experience. To do this you will need a certificate showing that you achieved the required six months' experience in the 12-month period up to February 2, 1970. The claim for exemption must be made within six months of the expiry of your renewed ordinary licence—January 31, 1973 —but not before then.
