Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• An entirely new finger-tip control for a tipping-gear selector valve will be exhibited by Edbro Ltd. at the Scottish Motor Show, next month.

It is operated by air pressure from a truck's air system, and it is believed to be the first of its type to incorporate a neutral -holdas well as "tip" and -lower" positions.

The new equipment will be exhibited on Edbro's own stand (No. 165) at the Show, and it will also be fitted on two vehicles in Glasgow during the exhibition, one a BMC Boxer in the demonstration park of the Leyland truck and bus division, and the other a Bedford KMS tipper on the joint Vauxhall dealers' stand inside Kelvin Hall.

Also to be seen on the Edbro stand will be a new range of tipping-gear selector valves shortly to be introduced to suit all tipping-gear models. These will take both cable and manual controls as well as the new air control.

The new Edbro air-shift control at Kelvin Hall will be a combined selector valve and power take-off control, but the two are also to be available as separate units. The pto lever is of the existing flick type, and when in the engaged position an orange warning light operates.

The selector-valve lever has a springloaded, lift-up locking collar to prevent • ccidental operation of the tipping gear, hereby meeting HM Factory Inspector's ecomrnendations for such controls.

Another safety feature of the unit is that in he event of the failure of any air pipe under ressure, the selector valve will automatically eturn to the neutral position, stopping ovement of the body.
