Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

In our report of the Institute of Transport plesidential address, on page 25 of last week's issue, an error distorted the views attributed to the president. The opening sentence should have read: The dangers inherent in diffusing the interests of the Institute of Transport over too wide an area were highlighted by the new president, Mr. Anthony Bull, when he delivered his presidential address in London on Monday."

In ouroriginal report "diffusing" was misprinted as "discussing".
