Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CB RADIO will be legalised by the middle of next year, according to the experts at Radiomobile. But it will probably be on 220 megahertz FM, not 27 which is the frequency used at the moment by illegal broadcasters.

An announcement by Parliament, confirming the legalisation of citizen-band radio, is expected within the next few weeks.

Radiomobile is anxious to have the equipment available and it is expected that the Government will want to approve any units on sale.

The news of CB radio's legalisation came at a Press conference this week to launch the first British pushbutton radio-cassette player, the Radiomobile 420.

Although not available in 24V, a dropper unit is to be marketed so that the radio can be used in commercial vehicles.

Radiomobile says that the 420 offers a high specification and is manufactured to a superior standard, using some of the most sophisticated equipment in airope.

In addition to the MW/LW version of the 420, an FM/ MW/LW unit wil be marketed later called the 431. Both have the Dolby noise-reduction system.

Radiomobile believes, however, that AM stereo will be the coming thing.

It says that the cost differential between AM/FM is heavily in favour of AM while the range is also better for AM.

The IBA and Radiomobile are co-operating on trials of the AM stereo system, but the outcome of the experiments being conducted in the USA will decide AM stereo's future.
