Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

a Licensing Authority to suspend my heavy goods vehicle driving licence?

AIf you feel that a Licensing Authority has been unduly harsh in suspending your hgv driving licence you can, under Section 118 of the Road Traffic Act 1972, write to the LA asking him to reconsider his decision, and at a subsequent hearing you will be entitled to be heard personally or through a representative — a solicitor for instance.

If you are still dissatisfied after the LA has reconsidered the matter you may appeal to a magistrates' court or, if you live in Scotland, to the sheriff within whose jurisdiction you live.
