UNITED CARRIERS Ltd suffered a £126,515 drop in pre-tax profit in the year to January 31.
The annual report published this week shows a gross profit of £1,027,818 compared with £1,254, 333 for the previous year.
Professing to be "not too disappointed" with the trading results, chairman Mr Jack Stanworth blamed a wages settlement, soaring costs, the 3-day week and the national shortage of hgv drivers for the adverse result.
