Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Seeing a lack of small tippers, Perkins Commercial Services of Leyton, E10, decided to build and market some at com petitive prices. The results are the Tipmaster Transits 22 and 35 (pictured here). As their names suggest, the vehicles are based on Ford Transit 22 and 35cwt chassis, but it is intended to mount the tipping units on additional chassis-types when a market is established and production is under way. They will be available through Ford dealers, so there should be no problems of distribution.

The tippers will be available as complete units and in "package deal" form. The conversion cost for the 22cwt model will be £245, and for the 35cwt model £270. The 22cwt frame and tipping gear as a package deal will cost £170 plus package, and the 35cwt model £185 plus package.

At present wooden bodies are fitted, but it is planned to offer a steel body in the near future. Perkins claims that body-building experience is not necessary to achieve assembly in four hours.

A representative of the company, which is the southern agent for Anthony Hoists Ltd., coach builders, told CM that he expected local authorities to take considerable interest in the project. Another likely buyer is the

small builder, to whom the vehicles' simplicity and ease of maintenance should make a strong appeal.
