Boltons Haulage of Rishton by North Western Licensing Authority Martin Albu, despite convictions recorded against three of the five partners and a number of their drivers for drivers hours and tachograph offences.
Last July Church Magistrates ordered the three partners and five drivers to pay fines and costs totalling £7,365 after they admitted offences including the falsification of tachograph records and the driving of excessive hours (CM July 23-29).
The hours offences arose out of rest not being taken in the right amounts. Considerable amounts of rest had been taken and it had not been a case of drivers being tired and fatigued.
