ASHARP rise in the registrations of hackney vehicles, compared with the figures for the previous two months, is shown in the latest returns issued by the Ministry of Transport. The number of showmen's vehicles registered
also shows a marked increase, whereas the figure for exempt vehicles declined Official returns, summarized below, show the new registrations for March and the total number of new vehicles registered in 1949.
