Any Vickers productions are, of coorse, known the world over, and the particular manufactures under our present notice, in the form of thrust and journal load bearings, are of none the less importance than. the older and more well-known products of this concern, such as axles, forgings and stampings generally. The exhibits are evidence of high-class peecision work, and conspicuous are the Timken bearings, which are so extensively used for front hubs of industrial machines. A feature of these bearings is that they are capable of adjustment, the hardened taper rollers being housed in special cases for the purpose. This concern also manufactures front and rear axles suitable for the light-class delivery van, and the worm axle exhibited gives evidence of the great care which has been spent on it.
