The peculiar construction and substantial nature of the PurreyExshaw exhibit suggest a machine particularly suited for heavy haulage where hard work is a sine rims non. We have described the features of this construction from time to time, and will emphasize

one or two leading points. The fact that the steamer is capable of being controlled by one man should appeal to many users, the stoking

being quite automatic; the colic hopper has a capacity of 3 which will run the machine for .10 miles on hard and level highways. The model shown has a load capacity of six tons on the body and four tons on the trailer, and that exhibited has steel tires, but rubbers are fitted if desired, and the machine can then be run at a speed of 12 m.p.h. The price of the steel-tired machine is £575 complete. The patent hydraulic side-tipping body is moved either to the right or the left by means of a jack. The drive to the winding drum is direct from the engine ; it can he utilized either for loading or unloading. Several other good features are to be seen on this machine.
