Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The first 6x2 twinsteer 38-tonne GCW Mercedes-Benz Power liner tractive units to operate in the UK have entered service with A Wood and Sons of Detling near Maidstone.

The ten 2035S tractors are fitted with the 261kW (350hp) 14.6 litre yee-eight turbocharged diesel engines, and the Mercedes electro-pneumatic shift (EPS) gearboxes. The EPS system provides electrical control over the gear shifting, and managing director All Wood says his drivers have adapted to the system very quickly.

The 2035 Powerliner was launched in Britain at the Motor Show last year as a replacement for the 2033 6x2 tractor units. The 2035S offers a power and payload advantage over its predecessor, although the price has risen to £47,400 retail ex-VAT.

The new vehicles bring the Wood fleet strength up to 37 Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Ten of these are the now superseded 2033S model which have between 120,000 and 130,0001un (75,000 and 80,000 miles) on the clock after one year's service.
