WAGE increases over 15 per cent have been gained by Tennant Caledonian brewery drivers, and Class 1 hgv drivers now have a basic pay of 019.20 for 40 hours.
The deal, which covers 670 manual workers and drivers at the Glasgow-based company, increases the Class 1 drivers' pay from £77.40, while yard shunters' pay rises from £80.20 to £92.60. Class 3 drivers' pay goes up from £75.40 to £86.30.
Under the deal, which was signed with the Transport and General Workers Union and runs from August 31 last year, drivers' meal allowances have risen from 70p to 80p per day, and overnight subsistence is up from £8.80 to £10.
