• Continued recovery of the company, despite disappointing results last year, is forecast by the chairman of Dennis Bros. Ltd., Mr. A. R. Stewart, in his annual report. Orders at September 30 last were about 11 per cent up on the equivalent 1967 figure, while production has risen by more than 30 per cent over the past two years, he reports.
Turnover in 1968 increased to £3.94m (£3.56m in 19671 but profit fell from £181,590 to £105.200. Specialized vehicle manufacture accounted for 97 per cent of the 1968 profit. Management has been divisionalized and on December 1 a new manager was appointed to take charge of all manufacture up to chassis completion.
